Andrew Rackham rejoined APD as Technical Director following an appointment with Highlands and Islands Airports Ltd as Group Operations Manager.  He is an experienced airfield operational manager both in the UK and abroad.  He has detailed knowledge in aerodrome licensing and compliance with ICAO Annex 14 and UKCAA CAP 168, airline/operator liaison, Airfield Safety Cases, and Safety Management, airfield audit procedures, and ramp/ground operatoins procedures.  He is a qualified Air Traffic Controller with experience in the Seychelles, and at Liverpool and Leeds-Bradford Airports.  His career development includes management positions at Leeds Bradford International Airport and Highlands and Islands Airports Ltd, with experience in policy, administration and budget allocation of all aspects of airfield operations and equipment management.  With APD, through operations management contracts, he has further experience at Blackpool and Swansea Airports.
