Vic Warren King Senior Associate Vic Warren King is a qualified air traffic controller with extensive civil operations experience, mainly at Newcastle International Airport, following 10 years as a pilot in the Royal Air Force, with experience in Beira, Indonesia and Malaysia. At Newcastle for 25 years, he held the posts of OJTI, Watch Supervisor, Unit Training Officer, and Manager, Air Traffic Control as well as being a member of the Joint Airport Assessment Panel for three years. As Unit Training Officer at Newcastle, he was responsible for the introduction of the Unit Training and Emergency Training Plans. As Manager ATC, the unit was instrumental in the development of preferential departure routes from Newcastle and the commitment to environmental management through the selection, installation and introduction of noise monitoring and track keeping equipment; one of the most comprehensive systems in the UK. Prior to joining Newcastle Airport, he was Senior Air Traffic Controller at BAA Southampton Airport and an Air Traffic Controller at BAA Gatwick. Between these appointments, he had a brief spell with International Aeradio Ltd (IAL).
